The weekly mileage is adding up fast as we approach marathon season.  Whether you’re new to running, or a seasoned veteran, YOU CAN DO THIS!

A sincere FIST BUMP to Fleet Feet for hosting our SAG tonight. We’ll run by their store so you can have a chance to get familiar with their location.

The distances are 10 Miles, 9 Miles, and 3 Miles tonight.  Choose the one that suits you and matches up with your running plan.

Enjoy the fall weather on Wednesday night, and remember that it’s getting dark earlier. Headlamps and hand-held flashlights are great items for evening runs. Also, make sure you wear reflective gear and consider wearing white, yellow, or orange clothes.

It’s no secret that we love a good meal and drink after we get our miles in. TWN prides itself on our post-run meals. If you have time, join us: the more the merrier. This week’s post-run meal is at The Grill at Patterson and Libbie.  It’s perfect for a large group of sweaty people like us!

We’ve made it through the summer and hopefully cooler temperatures will soon be on the way.  As the runs become longer and the days shorter it’s a good time start bringing running lights and wearing reflective clothing.  It will begin to get dark by the end of the run.

Hey you!

Wasn’t this a FABULOUS week?  Did you realize how much your training is paying off, allowing your legs to FLY with the lack of heat and humidity?!

You’re pretty freakin’ awesome. Keep crushing it. Seriously!

For those of you who ran Patrick Henry or other events this past weekend, we hope you enjoyed the cooler weather. Also, if you’re planning to run the Richmond Marathon in November just remember that the half was only part of the training and not your ultimate goal. Celebrate this accomplishment but recommit to the training.  It’s easy to coast from here. While the truth is the hard work is just about to start.  We’re gearing up for longer runs. After this weekend’s race, you should feel well prepared.

This week’s routes are 8 miles, 7 miles, and 3 miles (see below).  All routes have a SAG about halfway through.  Please bring a copy of the route.

How should I celebrate after the run! We’ve got a perfect idea! Everyone is invited to join us for dinner after the run at one of Richmond’s best-hidden secrets… Kitchen 64! The food is amazing, the drinks are tasty and the portion sizes are huge…also, the staff is very friendly!
