TWN Route 10/11/2017

Wednesday looks like a wonderful evening to run. All three routes get a SAG this week. The 9 mile route has a pretty steep hill (or two) on it along Idlewood, there’s no shame in walking it, especially if you are training for an upcoming race.

The sun sets about 15 minutes after we start running, so please don’t forget your lights and reflective gear.

TWN Routes for 8/23/17

A warm hello, TWNers! This wednesday’s routes are 8, 7, and 3 miles. Just like last week, everybody gets a SAG! Thanks to Yulando for staffing and providing supplies.

When heading out on Wednesday, keep in mind that one the biggest benefits of running through the city is getting to explore new neighborhoods. Don’t forget to take a breather and enjoy your surroundings every now and again! Nothing is more relaxing as you breeze down tree-lined city streets overlooking RVA’s gorgeous historic buildings. We are so fortunate to run in a neighborhood that is unquestionably one of the city’s greatest cultural and architectural assets.

Hello TWNers! Wednesday’s routes are 8, 7, and 3 miles. Also, I can’t wait to share with you this AMAZING news; everybody gets a SAG this week! You read it correctly! Thanks so much to Mallary F. and Bob S. for hosting and providing supplies. We’re eternally in your debt. Please consider volunteering to host, operate, or donate supplies for a future run. If you’ve already signed up, thanks! There will be a sign-up sheet before the run on Wednesday. Lastly, always bring your own route to the run, and check it ahead of time. We’re all human, and while we try our best, we occasionally make mistakes on our routes. Also, Fan streets are notorious for having street signs that are difficult to locate. Time to work off all those burgers and dogs from America’s Birthday!  Trying for a little shade on the Fan streets.

If you have a home or business reasonably close to the Church and you want to host a SAG, or if you want to be a volunteer, Bobbie Jo will have a sign up sheet starting this week.   It’s really nice to have cool beverages and snacks for those longer runs in the late summer and early autumn so please volunteer if you can.
